Trainings on “National capacity building on coordination and implementation of Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for Reproductive Health” project held in Khachmaz, Ganja, Shaki cities

According to the Action Plan on Civil Defense of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019, the project on “National capacity building on coordination and implementation of Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for Reproductive Health” developed by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and implemented within the frame of joint cooperation of the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health (PHRC) and Scientific Research Institute of Maternity and Gynecology is underway.

In connection with realizing of the project, trainings on coordination and implementation of Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) were held in Khachmaz (July 10-12), Ganja (July 18-20) and Shaki (July 25-27).

The trainings were conducted by the head of the Projects' coordination department of PHRC Sabina Babazade, physician - methodist of the Medical quality standards department of PHRC Teymur Huseynov as well as head of Ambulatory diagnosis department of Scientific Research Institute of Maternity and Gynaecology Gulnara Rzayeva, head of Antenatal clinic № 5 Leyla Mammadova.

 Chief doctors, deputy chief doctors, chiefs of civil defense staff, heads of gynecology departments of medical institutions under Khachmaz, Khizi, Siyazan, Shabran, Khudat, Ganja, Gazakh, Shamkir, Tovuz, Shaki, Gabala, Oguz and Zagatala Central District Hospitals, as well as representatives of medical institutions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Ministry of Internal Affairs joined the trainings.

Experts provided detailed information on sexual and reproductive health (SRH), medical services providing for victims of violence, prevention of HIV and sexually transmitted infections in emergency situations.

The trainings included emergency preparedness disaster simulation, discussions on issues relating to mentioned medical aids.

Note that, the trainings were held with support of Medical Care Department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
