Event on preventing gender-biased sex selection before birth held

On December 8, 2023, an educational event on preventing gender-biased sex selection before birth was held in Ganja.

The event held with participation of students of the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University was attended by the deputy head of the Training-resource department of the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health Parvin Guliyeva. She made a presentation on "Reproductive health protection. Abortion and its consequences" and gave detailed information about the side effects of sex-selective abortion.

 Representatives of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Problems and Ganja City Executive Power talked about the work done in our country and world experience on preventing gender-biased sex selection before birth.
