PHRC representative attends training of the Working Group on “Writing and publishing scientific articles based on medical researches" in Zagreb

On April 24-28, 2023, Regional Office for Europe of the World Health Organization (WHO), US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and USA Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) have organized training of the Working Group on “Writing and publishing scientific articles based on medical researches" in Zagreb, Croatia.

The training involved specialists, leading researchers and mentors from Azerbaijan, USA, Denmark, Austria, Albania, Serbia, Moldova, Ukraine and other countries.

Head of the Health Policy and Planning Department of the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health Nabil Seyidov attended training.

As one of the researchers of the study on the “Evaluation of the effectiveness of vaccination against the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection among health workers” carried out in Azerbaijan N, Seyidov shared his experiences in the field of publishing articles in high impact factor scientific medical journals of Europe and USA. Participants also exchanged ideas on writing, publishing, and statistical analysis of articles with WHO and CDC experts and journal reviewers.

Note that, PHRC is currently working on publishing results of the studies such as: vaccination against the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19), obesity among children, burden of cardiovascular diseases, antibiotic resistance and hospital-acquired infections.

Thus, over the past 2 years, PHRC has published 7 articles in national and foreign journals, presented poster presentations at 2 prestigious international congresses, and also launched a special program to promote scientific researches.
